Diagnostic ultrasound is a non-invasive technique using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. A camera or small handheld transducer along with a bit of gel is used on the skin to obtain the best images possible. These images are seen on a monitor and can provide valuable information for diagnosing and treating various conditions.
